Arkona is a folk metal band from Moscow, Russia. The gatefold layout and typeface represent the overall traditional Russian culture, mythology, and pagan beliefs based on its lyrics. I used Yana typeface because I felt the type represented the folk metal feel of the brand. A blend of warm and dark colors is also used to grab young adults’ attention.
